Meanwhile, “The Darth Plagueis Project” filled a huge red square with dialogue from Star Wars: Episode III, r/MonaLisaClan did a fair job of reproducing the “Mona Lisa”, and national flags duelled with each other for space. Seventy-two hours later, over a million people had laid 16.5 million coloured tiles, creating a mesmerizing patchwork of online identity.
